I’m happy to share a positive update with everyone following a productive meeting today with our fellow locals as we continue coordinating our bargaining proposals.

During this meeting, we were able to work through many of the details across the four collective agreements and successfully align them into one unified “Collective Proposal.” This is a big step forward and reflects a strong level of collaboration and shared priorities among the locals. At this point, only minor adjustments remain before the proposal will be ready to be presented to the employer.

In addition to this progress, we were also able to secure a date for common table ESA negotiations. This is an important development, as it helps ensure the employer cannot pit one group against another and reinforces that we are standing together.

Overall, this meeting demonstrated that the locals are united, organized, and serious about achieving a fair deal for everyone. We remain hopeful and encouraged by the momentum we are building together, and we will continue to keep members informed as we move forward.

In solidarity,
Nadine Shortt
